FIRST CONCERT: Colombo – Venezuelan Border
Peace Without Borders was born as the greatest musical show and movement of all TIME in favor of Peace. Due to the armed conflict in the Colombo–Venezuelan border, on 16 March 2008 Juanes and Miguel Bosé boosted a cultural movement in support of DELETE THE fundamental human rights at the Simon Bolivar International Bridge. It is located between the city of Cucuta (Colombia) and San Antonio del Táchira (Venezuela). At that time, a large number of artists and international well-known musicians (i.e. Alejandro Sanz, Juan Fernando Velasco, Carlos Vives, Juan Luis Guerra and Ricardo Montaner) participated on an honorary basis.
A human revolution of approximately 400,000 people participated in order to support the message of peace. In a striking artistic representation of the unified voices for peace about half a million white flowers and several yards of fabric of the same color covered the 350 meters of the long border crossing located over the river Táchira.
